Trail Blazer is 101 in Atlantic Canada!!!

This week Dawna “my wonderful wife” and I attended a private celebration for the TOP 101 companies of Atlantic Canada, followed by a networking reception at the World Trade and Convention Centre. I am proud Trail Blazer Products has been on Progress magazine’s list of Atlantic Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies for the past four years in a row. During the private celebration, Progress magazine releases its list of Atlantic Canada’s TOP 101 companies where Trail Blazer Products just made the list for the very first time in the 101 position. Setting up 4×8 foot Wall Assortments

This week I returned to Scotian Gold Cooperative Limited to set-up our new 4×8 foot wall assortment with Ben Cumming. Ben laid out the point of purchase signage telling the story of Trail Blazer Products Ltd, to be used with the 4×8 foot wall assortment. He is presently laying out the signage for a 3×6 foot end aisle assortment and a 2×4 foot assortment for convenience, grocery & specialty stores. While preparing packages for 2012 with a Quick Response (QR) Code to allow customers to scan with their smart phones & see a video showing the products features in action. To follow-up on the meeting I had with Co-op Atlantic last week, I’ll be offering these 4 x 8 foot wall assortments and 3×6 foot

Working with Co-op Atlantic This Week

To follow-up on the meeting I had with Scotian Gold Cooperative Limited three weeks ago, when we discussed a 4 x 8 foot wall display to offer Trail Blazer products, I drove to Moncton, New Brunswick this week to meet with Co-op Atlantic, who distributes to retail co-ops similar to Scotian Gold in Atlantic Canada and the Magdalen Islands. The Magdalen Islands are in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Though closer to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, the islands form part of the province of Quebec. Co-op Atlantic’s membership includes 99 retail co-ops including grocery, general merchandise and country stores. Ben Cumming, who co-ordinates our product development & marketing efforts, will be laying out a 4, 3 & 2 foot assortment

The National Sprint Canoe Championships

I missed last week’s blog because I was attending the National Sprint Canoe Championships at the International Flatwater Centre in Welland, Ontario where my son Travis & bothmy daughters Victoria and Natalie competed for four days with the hopes & dreams of joining the ranks of Canada’s top paddlers. A sprint canoe is used in the sport of flatwater racing. A sprint canoe is paddled while kneeling on one knee. Typical boat types are C-1, C-2, C-4 & war canoe. Sprint canoes are designed to go fast on flat water, with little or no provision for stability. Any high winds, waves, or currents will make these boats very difficult to handle, and could easily result in a capsize. As such, they
