It was quiet in my office this week while I anxiously wait for the response from our meeting with Menards. Friday came and we followed up to see if they have made their final decisions on our Fall Pruning Sets and were sure they would agree that the quality that Trail Blazer products offer is 2nd to none. They completely agree with our statement about quality but in the end, what they were looking for was a promotional item that was different than what they already stock. Menards already stocks Trail Blazer Products under the Master force brand and they decided to go with another. I joined Jim Olles in Eau Claire, Wisconsin where he was successful in getting our spring pruning products into Menards home improvement stores in 2009. Menards is well-known throughout the Midwest as a family-owned company started in 1960 and currently operates more than 250 home improvement stores with locations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin & Wyoming. We were very happy to be given the opportunity to present our recommendations for fall pruning products this week and learn more ways that we can better serve Menards. I expect to learn if the fall products are accepted as early as next week and our buyer gave me some homework that I look forward

Ben spends the majority of his spare time Trail Blazing for the love & passion of mountain biking. Ben’s love for the outdoors will make him a great choice to lead the growth of Trail Blazer’s new saws, knives & hatchet. In my December 5th Blog, I wrote about Ben Cumming moving from a 2 year sales position to the operations department. Robert Woodman worked with his skills & experience to develop an exciting position for him & Trail Blazer. Robert has him focused on quality control, which he does & will continue to do very well.
