Taking the Scenic & Direct Route Home

Last week I mentioned, I packed my family (Dawna, Travis, Natalie & Victoria) in the van & headed for Ottawa to participate in a FITT steering committee meeting. So, instead of heading straight home we took the scenic/direct route through Canada & the United States. We first spent some extra time in our nation’s capital. We then headed out and experienced our Canadian winter … After we filled up with Quebec’s unforgettable winter experience (A must see for anyone with warm clothes) we headed east through Maine, USA where we saw much wildlife during our scenic drive. We stayed in Ottawa for the weekend to visit the Canadian Museum of Nature. Where we learned about the unique nature of the Arctic & Antarctic plus their role as indicators of climate change, don’t forget Polar Bears & Penguins. Then we went back in time to view 30 complete skeletons

If you were one of the dedicated souls that went to work in Nova Scotia this week, you got to enjoy snow covered roads … did I mention I love my Jeep. There was also lots of blowing snow & cold wind. I also prefer to be in my Jeep but David Boudreau, our Sales manager, loves his sports car … it took us over 30 minutes to push the car out of the parking lot, in the heart of the storm & cold! Guess who was outside the car pushing! When you got home at night … 40 centimeters of snow was waiting for you. Unless someone in your home works somewhere that had snow days … Like my kids
