Trail Blazer Continues in Norway

This Week, I connected with Trail Blazer’s valued dealers & distributors in Norway, Nova Scotia, Quebec & the United States. Including my friend Per Inge Sagmoen with S-Ski & Sport in Tynset Norway. Per Inge reviewed our new product catalogue and said its really nice, informative and he’ll be coming back ASAP with an new order of Trail Blazer Saws.

S-Ski & Sport share the interest of outdoor life with many people through out Norway. Whether it’s sweating up a mountain, fishing along the lake side, hiking in the woods, biking up a trail or skiing down a mountain. They are not always happy with the products that are available in the Norwegian market, so they designed and constructed their own line of pants & jackets (Spræk) which match their customer’s needs and requirements in Norway. They also started importing leisure equipment & outdoor tools for the Norwegian environment. Their focus is on quality & performance at all levels and they’re a great partner!! Trail Blazer Products are sold through out various outdoor retailers all over Norway with competitive prices and very prompt delivery … with special thanks to Per Inge.

Back in Canada, our much appreciated sales rep, Donald Turcotte, sent in another purchase order for Les Brosses Industriels in Richelieu, Quebec, who took advantage of our spring booking by ordering Trail Blazer’s Telescopic Geared Hedge Shears, Ratchet Anvil and Bypass Loppers at a discounted price to be delivered in March 2013.

Closer to home, Jason O’Hearn with LumberMart in Dartmouth Nova Scotia. LumberMart has completed an ACE hardware re-merchandise and are prepping for a grand opening. So at the moment, there’s no allotment for Trail Blazer … But they said they may do something in the future. Charles with Burnside Paint ‘N Paper will be taking advantage of our promotion on Trail Blazer’s multi-colored Xtend-A™ Poles. Designed to meet the needs of anybody that has out of reach jobs … like painting.

On the other side of the Continent, Lisa Trombi with Eagle Enterprises, Inc. in Anchorage, Alaska, USA, received their order for Trail Blazer’s Sawvivor Saws, Take-Down Buck Saws, Xtreme™ Folding Saws and Hatchets. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Lisa & Eagle Enterprises for supporting Trail Blazer products in Alaska.

Antonio Solis with the Faculty of Industrial Engineering Technology at the Nova Scotia Community College sent me an e-mail this week, to follow up with me about an industry project opportunity for the students and for Trail Blazer Products Ltd. A project I expressed interest to participate in last May. Fall term classes will start next week (that’s right … the kids are back to school). One day, which is typically a Thursday, per week will be allocated for a total of 15 weeks, for the student’s industry project. They may be at Trail Blazer’s factory on that day or they may be working on their project at the campus. There are two students per project, who will create a report to suggest any recommended process improvements or layout changes.

We also received some really great news this week!!! We finally received all the colors needed to begin the production in Bouctouche New Brunswick. We are looking forward to producing Trail Blazer’s Xtreme™ Hatchets in multiple colors including Blue, Orange, Pink, Red and Yellow. If all goes well … we’ll expend New Brunswick’s production.

All the Best, Shawn Levangie
