This week, QVIST Outdoor Cooking in Netherlands let me know that they were reading Trail Blazer’s “2012 Year in Review” and felt it was nice reading and they sent a re-order. We put Winded Bowhunter in contact with Rockies to Alaska in the U.S. We Celebrated New Years & we started 2013 with equipment failures … Here we go, let the year begin!!!

Peter Quist with QVIST Outdoor Cooking in Netherlands read Trail Blazer’s “2012 Year in Review” and felt it was nice reading and it gave a good picture of Trail Blazer Products and the levangie family’s life in Canada. Peter then informed me that winter in Netherlands is not much at this time. Daytime temperatures are around 10 degrees and just below freezing in the nights. He is hoping it will drop in the coming weeks because they will be having their annual Mid Winter Camp. QVIST Outdoor Cooking annually organizes, during the first weekend of February, the Mid Winter Camp for tent campers to learn about winter camping.

We received an inquiry about becoming a dealer for Trail Blazer’s Sawvivor™ Saw and Take-Down™ Buck Saw from Rudy Hassall with Winded Bowhunter, an on-line catalogue, providing apparel and outdoor products while participating in numerous organizations & efforts to preserve and enhance the natural environment and wild lands across the U.S. This week we put Rudy in contact with Ted Ramirez with Rockies to Alaska, who warehouses Trail Blazer’s products to assist Winded Bowhunter with any logistic requirements. Local distributers are a great assistance to reaching the retailers without warehouse capabilities and they assist retailers by carrying their inventory investment.

RAOutdoors.com is a site created for hunting enthusiast to be excited about their past and present adventures and to have the opportunity to plan that long awaited hunting dream expedition of their own. It also provides valuable information on various hunting products, locations, outfitters, guides, and services like Winded Bowhunter offers.

We had a short work week due to the celebration of New Years, which I spent the evening home with my puppy Rollie, my wife Dawna, my son Travis, my daughters Natalie and Victoria. We laughed for hours playing the board game I gave Dawna for Christmas, called “Smart Ass”!!! Something we should do more often. During the evening, we were given clues to guess what, where or who was being described. If you guessed first, you would advance on the board and the first to reach the end wins. I didn’t do too badly; in fact I won, one of the many games we played, proving that even this “Dumb Ass” can still “Kick Ass”. My boy kept landing a square called “Hard Ass” … Just saying.

We started 2013 with excitement and equipment failures. We require new dies for punching Swedish Steel blades and new dies for extruding aluminum for our Sawvivor™ Saws and Take-Down™ Buck Saws. We experienced delivery delays in 2012 & we will need the new dies done quickly & properly, to ensure it doesn’t happen again in 2013.
