“In 1998, after our first Home Hardware Market in St. Jacobs, Ontario, they challenged us to develop our own pole pruner. We had a team of 5 people testing 30 different models of pole pruners. We discovered that the present models would get stuck in branches and put strain on the operator’s shoulders. Ours will never get stuck in branches because of the mechanical advantage of 4 pulleys and it doesn’t put a strain on your shoulders because the 5th pulley (the guide pulley) keeps the rope in front of you, allowing the tool to do the work. Also, if you’re working on limbs up high and the saw comes off the branch, you can’t get it back in that groove again. So we put a hook on the blade so it stops instead of slipping off the branch. A guy came up to me just last week and said he was amazed that nobody’s copied me yet. All I did was put a hook on the blade. So when it hits, it stops. Very simple. All simple little things like that solve problems.”
“Just a note to let you know the tree pruner arrived yesterday. I love it. Far better than the other two we have.”
“Have had pole pruners before but none with the quality construction of this tool. The substantial pruner is very light weight and easy to handle. Quality tool!”
