This week, we were visited by our BDC consultant, Dale Thibodeau, to review our first quarter financial performance & I visited our R&D team to review Trail Blazer’s potential new products. I evaluated sales rep’s performance across Canada and the United States while making changes in the North Eastern United States & the province of Quebec. I’m very happy & excited to see an order being prepared for, Quebec Fishing Tackel in St-Hubert, not just because their a great store but also this is the first of many outdoor retailers that will be set up by Donald Turcotte. This week, I moved the 4′ assortment of Mark’s Choice & Trail Blazer products at Palmer Home Hardware in Berwick and visited Ace Lumber Mart, Better Buy Sports, Lakeland Plant World, Nova Specialty Building Materials and Walker’s Livestock Feed & Supplies in Dartmouth. I received a catalog request from a tool importer based in New Zealand. Gaston Monge-Grassi found Trail Blazer’s web site when he was looking for high quality ratcheting loppers and after reviewing Trail Blazer’s web site, he requested our catalog. Gaston is with a New Zealand importer & distributor of high quality tools like Silky saws manufactured in Japan, Lowe secateurs crafted in Germany and soon “I hope” Trail Blazer Products made in Nova Scotia, Canada. This week, I attended a reception on board HNoMS Thor Heyerdahl in Halifax. I delivered product to Vernon D’eon Lobster Plugs Ltd in West Pubnico & left new catalogues with A.F. Theriault & Son, Carl’s Store, Clarence Ace Hardware, DJ’s Ritestop, Lequille Country Store, Magasin Vic’s Store, Pleasant Supplies Ltd., and U.J. Robichaud. My wife Dawna & I were invited to a reception in Halifax, on board HNoMS Thor Heyerdahl by the Ambassador of Norway Else Berit Eikland. This week, I interviewed sales people to represent Trail Blazer products in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ontario, Quebec and began preparing a contract for these salespeople. I sent catalogues to customers like A. M. Leonard, Campmor, Co-op Atlantic, Everest Gear, Mountain Equipment Co-op and snow shovel booking information to GH Factory Sales. I’ll be looking for more sales people, who are interested in representing Trail Blazer and grow our distribution. I started this month by talking to Donald Turcotte, with Unique Agency, about servicing the outdoor retailers in Quebec. I spoke to Shawn Cropley, with Cropley Marketing, about presenting to mass retailers in Canada. I spoke to Mike Streets & Trey Smith, with Vander Marketing, about servicing Lawn & Garden retailers
