Shawn Levangie, Vice-President at Trail Blazer, started working part-time with his father on the assembly line. This one product company had no distribution, no brand and no sales support. Trail Blazer’s quality outdoor products for the lawn & garden and sporting good markets are distributed internationally through 214 distributors and 63 recognized sales associates in 42 countries.
Shawn spent his youth as a sea cadet with R.C.S.C.C. Magnificent in Dartmouth and continued into the Naval Reserves Cadet Instructor list finishing as an officer with the Nova Scotia International Tattoo and the Commanding Officer of R.C.S.C.C. Bonaventure in Shubenacadie. He continues to give back to the community and, in 2001, he was awarded the Tobin Trophy from the Nova Scotia Wildlife Federation in recognition of his efforts to educate the public regarding wildlife and environmental issues.
